Spring interns agree to work 12-15 hours a week for 10-12 weeks (150 hours total) during the semester and are compensated with $1,200 in funding. In addition, spring interns receive three hours of graded academic credit through an internship course in the School of Social Work taken in conjunction with the internship. Community partners and APPLES agree to share in the cost of the intern, with each organization paying $600. The community partner receives the APPLES portion of the funds and arranges for the student intern to be paid by the organization.
