J. Desai Global Service-Learning Travel Grant

Overview

In 2007, Jatin Desai created a permanent endowment to establish the J. Desai Global Service-Learning Travel Grant. The grant offsets travel costs for APPLES program participants who are extending their work with communities abroad. Through this grant, CCPS awards at least two $500 awards each year.

ELIGIBILITY

Award recipients must be undergraduate students, have a current or previous APPLES experience and show a demonstrated commitment to academics. Upon returning to campus, recipients must submit three to five photos representing their experience, as well as an accompanying narrative or caption for each.

All successful Desai Global Service-Learning Travel Grant recipients must seek approvals and abide by current university policy on international travel.

TIMELINE

The 2024 Desai Travel Grant application opened in December 2023 and close on March 3, 2024. Apply online through the CCPS Application and Nomination Portal.
