APPLES Service-Learning Summer 2018 Internship applications
December 11, 2017 - January 24, 2018Free
APPLES Service-Learning is accepting applications for its summer internship program. APPLES internships are unique, intense experiences in service for either the spring semester or summer. Students intern at a variety of nonprofit and government organizations, receive funding ($1,250 for spring and $2,500 for summer) and academic course credit through a course hosted by the School of Social Work. Interns earn one hour of academic credit for the summer internship. Selected interns will enroll in CCO SOWO 492, offered by Carolina Courses Online summer program through the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education.
All summer interns receive a $2,500 stipend through a collaborative effort between APPLES and the internship site. Stipends are intended to defray the cost of living, transportation and course fees. Partial, need-based financial assistance will be available to those who qualify. Students may apply for financial assistance after they have been selected as an intern. Students are responsible for summer housing and travel arrangements unless otherwise noted.
Applications for APPLES summer internships are accepted through the APPLES Partner Portal.
