Learning by Doing: a symposium on experiential education

Learning by Doing is a campus-wide symposium and networking session on experiential education, 1 – 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25 in Hyde Hall’s University Room. The keynote address, Leadership and Learning: Critical Lessons from Kurt Hahn and the Future of Experiential Education will be presented by Thomas James, provost and dean of Teachers College, Columbia University, and former dean of the UNC School of Education. Graphic facilitation will be by Giselle Chow who develops and leads organizational change processes for corporate and nonprofit organizations. A facilitated networking session for campus, community groups and individuals to discuss, share ideas and plan together will follow the keynote address from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
