Administrative Services Specialist, Carolina Center for Public Service

Macy Green earned her bachelor’s in mass communication from North Carolina Central University (NCCU). She says her alma mater is committed to community service, which has instilled in her the importance of community engagement and serving the public.

She was a news and public affairs intern for WNCU 90.7 FM, where she wrote and recorded public service announcements and assisted annual fundraising events. From there, Macy served as a sergeant in the United States Army, where she completed administrative and clerical duties. In her most recent position before joining UNC-Chapel Hill, Macy served as an operations administrative assistant for “Rebuild North Carolina,” a joint initiative between North Carolina Department of Public Safety and North Carolina Office of Resiliency and Recovery.

Macy is now the administrative services specialist for CCPS, where she will support daily operations and help facilitate and organize a myriad of events and programming.

Outside of work, Macy loves to sing, write and play piano and trombone. She is even actively learning how to play the bass guitar.
