Coronavirus Updates for Community Partners
March 19, 2020
Dear community partners,
At this point in the coronavirus crisis, we can only imagine the challenges and uncertainty that you’re facing at work—not to mention in your personal lives as well. As you may have heard, UNC-Chapel Hill is following the UNC System directive to significantly reduce campus operations and services—which obviously impacts all campus-community partnerships.
Considerations for the health, safety and well-being of our community means the University is suspending in-person service. Nonetheless, we want to direct resources to you as best we can.
As a first step in that process, we want to hear from you about what you need most right now. Feel free to email us and/or submit a request for remote-based support through our Public Service News listserv. The Public Service News is a weekly email that reaches 7,000 service-minded subscribers.
In addition, the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits has organized a survey to get a better idea of your needs and what can be done to address them in this time of crisis. We encourage you to share your perspective as you’re able.
Best wishes for staying healthy and safe,
Senior Program Officer for Community Engagement
