Dear students,

We know you are facing a lot of challenges right now, especially for those of you who are moving out of campus housing in the next few days. To ease with this transition, we’ve compiled the following resources that we hope you find helpful.

1. Move-out FAQ
UNC Housing has created this FAQ page for campus residents who are required to move out.

2. Emergency funding
You can apply online for emergency funding—typically amounts up to $500—from UNC.

3. Food resources
Students with food insecurity or other needs should contact the COVID Student Care Hub.

4. Prescription refills
Students can refill prescriptions using the Healthy Heels Portal. For more information, visit the Campus Health website.

5. Counseling services

• UNC Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is staffing a phone line 24/7. Call 919-966-3658 to talk to a therapist by phone.
• You can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK.
• To reach the national Crisis Text Line, text TALK to 741741.
• For general advice on managing anxiety during the coronavirus pandemic, check out this blog post from Healthy Heels.

We will be reaching out again in the next few days with additional resources, plus opportunities for engaging in remote-based public service for those who are able.
