Launched in 2019, the Community Engaged Scholars Directory showcases individuals from across UNC-Chapel Hill who conduct community engaged scholarship.

The Carnegie Foundation defines such engagement as “the collaboration between institutions of higher education and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.”

This Directory’s purpose is to draw attention to engaged scholarship at Carolina and help foster university-wide connections surrounding engagement.
